Sign In to the Mobile App Through the Website
Members sign in to the app on the login page of the site, so two-factor authentication, social login and phone codes work in the app too.
Log in through the website opens the login page of the site in the secure browser of the phone, with every login plugin of the site. A member already logged in on the website only confirms, and the app is signed in.
Each site chooses the sign-in methods of its app: website and password, website only, or password only. Website only is the answer for sites that require two-factor authentication. The password form now limits failed attempts and reports them to security plugins. It is in Better Messages 3.2 and needs a new build of the app.
