Upgraded Calls in the Mobile App
The native call screens of the iOS and Android apps get what the website has: device settings, Spotlight for Everyone and Pin for Me, Host Controls with End for Everyone, and recording.
Moderators in the app put up to four people in the spotlight for everyone, ask someone to turn on their camera or microphone, mute everyone, end the call for everyone, and start and stop recordings from Host Controls, with toasts for raised hands and joins. Anyone can pin a person on their own screen with Pin for Me.
Members test their camera, microphone and speaker in Device Settings, join a group call straight into the call grid with their own tile, and are told as the site chose when a call is recorded. One-to-one calls sound steadier on a connection that loses packets, and stay direct between the two when a connection stalls for a while.
It is in Better Messages 3.2 and needs a new build of the app.
